This rug is very attractive. We have tile floors and needed a very soft/plush rug for our son to play on. The pattern is modern yet looks great for one that likes more traditional rugs. The colors are just like the picture with the chocolate brown being the shorter of the two. The beige and taupe are the "shag". Yes it smelled when we received it but found no bugs or dirt upon unrolling it. It had a few kinks which settled within a week. We left it on the patio to settle and get the smell out. I use a cheap vacuum with no level controls to clean it and have not noticed any damage to it. My son loves running and rolling around on it and my old bones appreciate it. I love this rug and it was the best buy for the price. Shipping was fast as always and I would buy this rug again.I just received 2 of these carpets (3.3 x 5.3) I purchased 2 of these rugs and they are beautiful. You will not be disappointed Just be aware that the background is an off white/cream and if it's a heavy traffic area be careful. I'm going to see if I can scotch guard it in order to protect it. Lovely rugs!I expected a little more brown in rug color. Cream color over ran others, so it was not as colorful as pics. More muted! Still looked good in my entrance!It's little lighter thn what I expected. But looks beautiful , goes well with our dark hardwood flooring. It looks almost white in day light and cream with warm lights in the night .It's soft to walk on, looks modern just like I wanted and has design which is perfect if you are looking for simple, modern , soft yet reasonable price rug.Was shipped within a week, came in couple of days before expected delivery .Adding a few pictures so prospective buyers can see how it looks in day light /night lightThis is a really nice rug, super thick and plush. I was initially concerned with the cut outs since our family lays on the floor sometimes but it doesn't affect the comfort. It looks great and for the price better that anything I found locally.I love love love this area rug. It’s soft in most areas( there are parts that are matted by design). The color is absolutely gorgeous. Everyone that visits my home asks where I got it from. Wished they came in a bigger size but it works for the area I needed it toThis rug is really soft. I was a little concerned with it being a "shag rug" that it would frill in the way traditional shag rugs are made, but this rug doesn't. It is extremely soft in between your toes and it feels like a cloud when you step on it. The pattern is beautiful too, it brightens my living room which is mostly comprised of dark colors. The rug flattened out pretty easily too, after only a day the curl came out and it's now flush with my living floor. I highly recommend this area rug if you're looking for a soft, simple rug with a great design that is easy on the wallet.
