Solidly built, tightly woven, dense and warm and perfect for where I put it.Wool is the way to go with rugs, and this is one of the better "low-end" Safaviehs for sure. Well worth the money! I have a large Karastan that is a serious investment piece, so I wanted to preserve it and get something less expensive for commonly-used areas. This fits the bill perfectly.Like any other wool rug, make sure to vacuum with beater bar OFF to keep from shedding it, and don't let it get wet for too long (wool smells like wet dog and the funk is pretty bad).If you're going to get a real wool rug like this one, a major tip - GET IT PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED. And not just some carpet cleaning guys, either, find a rug specialist who knows how to handle wool products. It's more expensive, but well worth it in the long run. My Karastan has benefited from professional cleaning and this new rug will too. Whatever you do, don't let the dogs pee on it!
